Alexandra Nicoletti is a Principal at Camber Creek and supports the firm’s deal flow, diligence, transactions, and portfolio management. Alexandra currently serves on numerous Camber Creek portfolio company boards. Prior to joining Camber Creek, Alexandra worked in real estate private equity; her roles included acquisitions and asset management positions at several leading real estate investing and operating companies globally, including Brookfield Properties, Norges Bank and Apollo Global Management. She has closed commercial real estate transactions and managed portfolios totaling over $10 billion in value. Alexandra began her career in real estate investment banking at Goldman Sachs. She received a BA from Duke University.
Casey Berman is a Managing Partner at Camber Creek. Prior to Camber Creek, Casey was President of Operations for one of the Washington, DC area’s largest privately held real estate development and management companies. He founded Camber Creek more than a decade ago and oversees all aspects of the organization. Casey leads the due diligence process for potential investments, makes investment decisions and participates in the management of portfolio companies. Casey currently services on the boards of a number of Camber Creek portfolio companies.
Jake Fingert is a Managing Partner at Camber Creek. Jake coordinates all aspects of Camber Creek’s operation and portfolio management. Jake was previously a Senior Policy Advisor at the White House, appointed by President Obama and a Senior Advisor to the GSA Administrator. In both roles Jake identified new investments and managed operations for the Federal Government’s infrastructure and real estate portfolio of approximately 350 million square feet. Prior to joining the government, he was a Principal at the Boston Consulting Group. Jake currently serves on the boards of a number of Camber Creek portfolio companies.
J.P. is a Senior Associate at Camber Creek where he leads deal flow, diligence, and transactions. J.P. also works with Camber Creek’s portfolio companies on their path to growth. Prior to joining Camber Creek, J.P. was a Senior Associate at Morpheus Ventures and held investing roles at several early-stage venture capital funds, including Hyde Park Angels and OCA Ventures. He also has prior experience at Macy’s in Corporate Venture where he focused on building and investing in the future of brick-and-mortar retail.
Jeffrey Berman has more than two decades of executive management experience and deeply rooted relationships in the start-up, real estate and venture capital ecosystems. Jeffrey has sourced deal flow, led due diligence, made investment decisions and served on the boards of numerous portfolio Camber Creek portfolio companies. Prior to Camber Creek, he was a Principal at one of the Washington DC area’s largest privately held real estate development and management companies. Jeffrey has also been an active early stage investor backing more than three dozen startups including Side, Flex, Jackpocket, Kindbody and Rappi.
Lionel Foster is a Senior Associate at Camber Creek. In his career before Camber Creek, he was a senior communications manager for the Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center. Before joining Urban, Foster was special assistant to the director of the Baltimore City Department of Planning and an opinion columnist with Baltimore City Paper and the Baltimore Sun. An alumnus of Johns Hopkins University’s Writing Seminars program (BA), Foster earned master’s degrees in social policy and planning and regional and urban planning studies at the London School of Economics, as well as a master’s degree in creative and life writing at Goldsmiths College, University of London, during his tenure as a British Marshall Scholar. He is currently completing a JD at Georgetown Law.
Mitchell is an Executive Partner at Camber Creek where he is involved in all aspects of the business including selecting portfolio companies to invest in, and then cultivating and growing them. Prior to Camber Creek, Mitchell was President of Vornado/Charles E. Smith, the DC division of Vornado Realty Trust, a $20 billion real estate investment trust. In that role, he directed the strategy, performance and growth of Vornado’s extensive 20+ million square foot portfolio in the Washington DC region. With more than 35 years of leadership experience in commercial real estate, Mitchell brings to Camber Creek a wealth of investing and operating expertise across a broad range of verticals, including development, leasing, construction and property management.
Nate is a Principal at Camber Creek where he advances the firm’s fundraising, supports portfolio companies, and manages deal flow, diligence, and transactions. He also leads Camber Creek’s public relations and thought leadership. Nate comes from a fourth-generation real estate family. Prior to joining Camber Creek, Nate served as a Special Assistant to the President at the National Economic Council in the Obama White House, where he led work in areas like urban development and emerging technology. Nate is also a successful social entrepreneur and former Forbes 30 under 30, Baltimore Business Journal 40 under 40 and Aspen Ideas Fellow. He has written for the New York Times, Washington Post, and Fast Company, among other media outlets and has been an active angel investor for more than a decade.
Sunny Taylor is Camber Creek’s Executive Assistant and Administrator. Previously, she has served in similar capacities at the University of Virginia’s investment office.
Tom is a Principal at Camber Creek and participates in all aspects of the business including deal flow, diligence, transactions and portfolio management. Prior to joining Camber Creek, Tom was President and COO of TIKD – a rapidly growing mobile technology startup that built the first national payment infrastructure and private financing product for traffic & parking citations. Previously, he was an Investment Manager at a San Francisco based Private Equity firm, an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Co and a Corporate Attorney for Sullivan & Cromwell LLP. Before joining the private sector, Tom served as a nuclear engineer qualified submarine officer in the US Navy.
